Enjoy a warm and authentic experience in the peaceful setting of a charming guesthouse, surrounded by a lovely garden and a swimming pool perfect for relaxation. This workshop invites you to discover the secrets behind two iconic Tunisian breads: tabouna and mlewi.
Workshop programme
On arrival, you’ll be welcomed in a warm and friendly atmosphere with a complimentary drink of your choice:
- Coffee
- Fresh fruit juice
- Oued Lassoued thyme tea
The workshop then begins with a demonstration of the traditional recipes for tabouna and mlewi. You will learn the various stages of preparation, guided by your assistant for the day. All ingredients, recipes and information sheets are provided on site.
Once the dough has been prepared and left to rest, it’s time to bake it in the cosy «Tabouna Lounge» and in the kitchen at home.
Tasting of local specialities
Once the bread has been baked, you’ll enjoy a tasting session accompanied by traditional Tunisian specialities:
- Olives
- Olive oil
- Traditional harissa
A simple, indulgent moment to share in a natural, relaxing setting.

Take your creations home with you
At the end of the workshop, you’ll go home with the things you’ve made:
- 4 to 6 tabouna loaves
- 4 to 6 mlewis
- Recipes
